Autumn!

Our last week of term was very busy!

We were writing Autumn poems this week and spent a lot of time brainstorming ideas and thinking hard about all our senses and which ones were being used while looking for signs of Autumn.

We did a scavenger hunt looking for things that were rough, shiny, noisy etc. We used these ideas and made them sound more interesting by adding adjectives to describe what we found.

Our maths was really hard this week as we built on our addition skills and began reasoning about what we had been discovering and solving word problems. We enjoyed beginning to look at RM Easimaths, and have also started looking at number bonds and how we can recall these quickly and accurately.

Thank you to all the positive comments we received at Parents evening - we are really proud of how the children have taken on board all their learning this term and your support is invaluable to their progress.

Have a wonderful half term and we look forward to our next set of adventures with the children.
