Art request ....and bear hunting!

In Art next week (week beginning 1st October) we will be making a class collage all about London.

Please could you send your child in with images of London. These images must be able to be cut out.

If these could be in school by Monday 1st October so your child can contribute fully to the class collage.

In English this week we have read "We're going on a Bear hunt" and have started working on descriptions and will write their own version next week. We also went to the hall and acted out the story - we took turns so one class went on the bear hunt while the other class were the obstacles! Can your child remind you of the story?

In class today, children were treated to a visit from Mrs Harrison who talked to them about life was similar and different when she was their age. The children enjoyed looking at the toys she brought in to show us and hearing all about her school days - they quite liked the idea of milk at playtime but not so keen on the cane!

Don't forget the MacMillan Coffee Morning on Friday 28th September from 8:30 in the O'Leary Hall in the Crown Building - it would be lovely to see you there.
