A quick catch up!

Thank you...

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for your kind Harvest donations. Due to your great generosity we managed to fill two large boxes! The children did a brilliant job of decorating them, using autumnal colours and leaves. We donated the boxes to the KCU foodbank in Kettering. They were so pleased and asked us to say a big thank you to the children and their families for being so kind, on their behalf.

We have been busy learning about Halloween, bonfire night, Diwali and remembrance day. For Halloween, we explored pumpkins, made potions in the mud kitchen using a cauldron, and played with scary spiders! For bonfire night, we watched fireworks on the big screen while enjoying hot chocolate and marshmallows. The children also made some brilliant ‘firework’ pictures using salad spinners. We learnt about Diwali, the ‘festival of lights’, and made our own diva lamps and Rangoli patterns using paint powder. We also made poppies on Remembrance Day and looked at why this is an important date.

Now we have completed the Rhyme challenge at nursery, we will soon be starting to practise Christmas songs in preparation for the festive sing-along. The sing- along will be on the 10th December in the morning. More details to follow!

Thank you for your support.
