Primary School

A great start to the new school year!

It has been a pleasure getting to know the new children over the past few weeks. They are settling into their learning space very well and already starting to build some lovely friendships. The children who have returned to nursery are doing a brilliant job of helping the new ones find their feet.

The children have been having lots of fun outside exploring our new ‘mud kitchen’. After working hard over the summer to get it set up, it is lovely to see the area come alive! The children have enjoyed digging in the big tyre for ‘treasure’ and cooking many delicious muddy treats in the kitchen area.

We have been busy practising some new rhymes from our challenge. So far, we have learnt ‘Jelly on a Plate’ and ‘Tommy Thumb’.  The children really enjoy wobbling around during the jelly one! We will soon send home a list of the rhymes from the challenge. It would be fantastic if you could practise them at home too – we are sure the children will enjoy teaching you the actions to go with them!  (For more information about our Rhyme challenge please see the newsletter).

Please remember to check your child’s pigeonhole regularly – we have recently put in a copy of the newsletter and the term dates for this academic year in them. At the end of the week we will be also be sending home information about Key Worker groups.

We are so excited for all the learning and fun still to come during this term - check out our gallery for some photos of us at work.

Thank you for all your support,

The Nursery Team
