Primary School

A busy few weeks

We've celebrated Halloween, Bonfire night and National Nursery Rhyme Week and we've also been gardening over the last few weeks, not to mention a whole host of other fun things. Come and have a look!

This term is racing away with us and it hardly seems possible that Christmas is just around the corner. We have already been planning Christmas craft activities! But before we think about what's to come take a look at what we've been getting up to so far this term.

The children enjoyed the chance to come dressed in Halloween attire if they wanted to (and so did the staff!) Some of the children have been busy helping Mrs Melville with our Growing Area by getting stuck in with some weeding and planting and we look forward to watching these bloom.

Then most excitingly of all, we shared Nursery Rhyme Day with reception where we all came dressed up as nursery rhyme characters and took part in lots of fun nursery rhyme activities. The reception children all came to join us in our nursery base then later on we all went to join them in their base. It was so lovely to see both nursery and reception children playing together and exploring new areas of the school environment. I am certain that days like this will help your children make a smooth, seamless transition to Reception next September and we have plenty more ideas for joint ventures. These include reading buddy sessions and a Christmas get together so watch this space!
