Mental Health Awareness Week

At Thrapston Primary School we were proud to support Children's Mental Health Awareness Week 2023 as it was an opportunity to shine a bright spotlight on the importance of mental health. In this blog post we have put together a list of  resources to support children, young people, their parents, carers and teachers.

Mental Health Awareness Assembly

Below is a link to an assembly which is being shared in school this week. It includes two short videos that you might like to watch at home with your child. Following this assembly, we are inviting all children to send in any work they create to support the theme 'Express Yourself'. (See some examples below) This work will be used to create a Mental Health Awareness Wall. Children can choose to express themselves in any way that they wish - be creative! Please email your work to cgolding@thrapston.net

The Reading Agency

The Reading agency have put together a wonderful selection of stories and accompanying resources to help talk to little ones about mental wellbeing, which can sometimes be a tricky topic to discuss with young children.
