Welcome to Farah Class and Year 3!
The children have had a wonderful break and seem keen and enthusiastic to come back to school. Thank you for supporting the children with their Stone Age homework, we have had some wonderful work in, which will be going up on display in our Year Three corridor.
The children have been busy developing their understanding of place value in Maths and looking at stories with familiar settings in English. They now all have their maths homework to practice their number bonds and a reading book to meet their weekly reading target.
The children will be tested on their number bonds on Fridays and they have an individual day where we check that they have met the reading target of reading at least five times in a week. Their day is detailed on the front of the reading record. You will also find their reading target card in the front of their books, which we will assess and tick off as they meet their targets.
If you are interested in being a regular helper in our classroom, please come and talk to us. We would really appreciate any regular time you can offer us as this does really make a difference to the children. Hopefully next week we will be able to post some pictures of the work the children have produced and in the meantime well done to this week’s Farah Learner of the Week and Farah Behaviour Model of the Week!
