We are scientists!

This week, Ennis-Hill class carried out an investigation in the Science lab.

As part of our 'Rocks and Soils' unit, the children were tasked to look at, compare and sort different soils according to their characteristics. The children looked at three different soils: loam, clay and sandy. After making careful observations of the soils, the children then compared the soils' colours, textures and moistures and carefully recorded what they found out.

The children worked extremely well with their groups, discussing their ideas and taking turns sensibly.

I was very impressed with the behaviour, contributions and effort from all of the children. We will certainly be returning to the Science lab for further investigations in the coming weeks.

Well done everyone!

Please enjoy some of our photos from our investigation.
