Making a healthy lunch
This week in DT we had a go at making a healthy lunch.
We started our topic by tasting a variety of pasta and couscous salads. We then designed a healthy salad of our own, thinking carefully about the ingredients we chose. We talked about healthy and unhealthy foods and spent time thinking about how to create a balanced meal.
We then used our designs to make our own salads. We chopped, grated, sliced and stirred. It was great fun! The best part was tasting our food!
We then evaluated our salads by commenting on how they looked and tasted. We also thought about how we could improve our salads if we were to make them again.
